Chucked my rusty old kettlebells and just keep two of these bars in the car. I use them every day.

Perfect training equipment for us. Compact, no need to store in the armoury, and they don't roll around on deck.

FAQs

The original version of Torsion Bars was a metal bar! But a plain bar is tough to pick up and tends to roll away from you. A metal bar is also hard to grip when you're sweating hard and tends to rust when exposed to the elements. Torsion Bars solve all these issues with some simple design features including the end caps which give the bar a 10mm gap to allow easy pick up and stop the bar rolling. The bar has a high quality and durable finish that means it won't rust and has better grip than plain steel.

Check the dimensions per weight as the thickness of the bar varies according to weight. Naturally the heavier bars are thicker. All bars are just under 1m long which makes them more versatile than traditional bars as they can be used with one hand. Being longer than dumbbells also provides extra challenge for your core and grip when using one hand.

No, the bars are designed to be a solid and singular piece of equipment. It's this simple design that makes it so durable.

We recommend getting a range of bars for different uses. For example, you'd want a heavier bar for squats and a lighter bar for should press. We also recommend having two of the same weight for some movements such as single arm versus double arm movements, however the heavier bars can still be used with two hands for similar movement patterns.

Yes, the bars are designed to be short enough to use for single arm movements such as single arm shoulder press or single arm rows. This is part of the simplicity of design, you get the benefits of a bar plus the benefits of a kettlebell or dumbbell.

Every bar comes with an unconditional 10 year guarantee. Unlike kettle bells and other types of gym equipment, these bars are military grade and won't rust. When we say military grade, they are literally used by military units around the world including the Australian and US army, airforce and navy.
